The vast amount of content in this course will emphasize crucial elements of the illustration process, such as creative problem-solving, storytelling, and adhering to predetermined project guidelines.
Students will be encouraged to explore with both analog and digital media in this course because it is not media-specific.
The challenge for the students will be to think about their drawings both on and off the page, as well as how to adapt them for other markets.
In addition to general visual challenges like sequence and continuity, students will begin to think about various illustration-related possibilities, such as character design, visual development, packaging and identification, surface design, and sequential art.
